Derek Docherty made no plea at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
The 35-year-old was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

It comes after we reported police were called to Tennant Street at around 4.20pm on Saturday, May 13, following reports of an injured man.
The 35-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Locals reported that the street was taped off for hours, with forensics and CID in attendance.
