A man has been rushed to hospital after an incident outside a Glasgow pub.
We previously reported that emergency services were called to Shettleston Road shortly after 2pm on Tuesday.
Police, fire crews and paramedics were at the scene of a fire at a premises.
The name of the venue was not confirmed but the Railway Tavern was taped off.
Paramedics were initially treating a man at the scene but Police Scotland has now said he has been taken to hospital.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.10pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, police were called to a report of a fire at a premises in the Shettleston Road area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 33-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
An eyewitness previously told The Glasgow Times: "There is a large police presence and there is a fire alarm going off.
"The polis were chatting to loads of folk.
"I think something serious has happened."
Nearby Killin Street was also subjected to a police cordon but officers have since reopened it. It closed from Shettleston Road to Gatehouse Street.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were requested at 2.15pm on Tuesday, May 16 to assist our emergency service partners at a premises on Glasgow's Shettleston Road.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the area, where firefighters worked to support their partners before leaving the scene."
Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
