Emergency services have locked down a road after an incident.
Multiple police vehicles and ambulances were pictured on the B7071 Glasgow Road in Uddingston on Wednesday afternoon.
Police tape has been put up across the road and a diversion appears to be in place.
Police Scotland revealed that they had been called to a road crash.
A pedestrian has been hit by a car.
A statement shared on social media read: "Officers are currently in attendance following a road traffic crash which happened on the B7071 Glasgow Road at Belmont Avenue, Uddingston, at around 11am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
"Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is currently closed."
A spokesperson added: “Officers are currently in attendance following a road traffic crash which happened on the B7071 Glasgow Road at Belmont Avenue, Uddingston, at around 11am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
“The crash involved a pedestrian and a car.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is currently closed.”
