Officially opening today, the new Starbucks at Barrhead’s Retail Park is set to welcome guests for the first time.
Before opening, the Glasgow Times were able to take an exclusive look around the inside of the venue and catch up with the store manager, Chloe Dyer.
The new coffee shop is a bright and colourful store, which features plenty of seats, inside and outside for customers to relax.
When entering the outlet, the décor instantly makes you feel like you have walked into a coffee store, while the staff are friendly and make you feel welcomed.
The store also features a drive-thru which is handy for coffee lovers who are in a rush.
Chloe, the store manager of the new Starbucks in Barrhead is “really excited” about the opening of the venue.
The 26-year-old has worked with Starbucks for just over two years now and has worked her way up from a barista to a store manager.
She said: “I’m really excited about the opening. I’ve done a few store openings now, and I’ve been in Starbucks for about two years.
"This is my first one as a store manager, so that’s what I’m probably most excited about and a change of location as I was over in Hillington before.”
Chloe is also looking forward to learning about the new regulars who will be at the Barrhead store.
“The best bit about the job is the regulars, honestly, they just get you through your day,” Chloe said.
We previously reported that the coffee shop would be opening their new drive-thru branch in the town today.
It is just one of the many companies opening at the new £16m retail park, at the site of the former Nestle Purina factory.
