TWO hero cops who helped save a man’s life during a medical emergency have spoken out following the incident.

PC Jenner and PC Reid performed CPR and urgent medial treatment on Colin Jackson late last month, after he suffered a cardiac arrest in a car park.

We previously reported that Colin, 64, from Houston feel ill when he went out to collect his wife from work in Linwood.

The 64-year-old is now on the mend from the traumatic incident after being fitted with a defibrillator and spending many days in hospital.

Speaking out following it, PC Jenner, who is only in his probation has said it is one of the jobs he did not expect to deal with so early on in his career.

He said: “Being in my probation, I did not expect to deal with an incident of this magnitude so early in my service.

“After meeting with Colin and seeing him on the mend, it’s definitely an incident I’m proud to have even been involved in and is something I’ll reflet on for the rest of my career.”

While PC Reid said the story is one he will be telling his children in the future.

He said: “The incident confirmed how important the training we undergo yearly really is.

“I was delighted to meet Colin after the incident and to see him doing so well.

“Definitely a happy ending story to tell my children in years to come.”
