Services from Glasgow have been affected after damaged power cables became tangled around a train.
Due to damage to the overhead power lines at Lanark Station, ScotRail services between Glasgow Central and Lanark are only able to run between Glasgow and Wishaw.
Ticket acceptance is in place on the number 41 JMB bus between Motherwell and Lanark.
Network Rail Scotland has said the 25,000 volt cables became loose in the early hours of this morning.
Staff are on site but repairs are expected to take a few hours.
No trains are currently able to leave or get into the station.
One of our trains has got caught in the damaged wires, so we're working on a plan to rescue it in order to allow repairs to begin. ^Angus https://t.co/qHLHHIog6U
