ROADS in North Glasgow remain closed this morning due to a fire at a Springburn industrial estate. 

We previously reported the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were dealing with a huge blaze within a derelict industrial building on Petershill Road after they were called to the scene around 8.20pm last night.

Petershill Road remains closed this morning between Edgefauld Road and Red Road with an SFRS spokesperson confirming firefighters remain at the scene more than 12 hours later.

Hobden Street and Darnick Street are also closed to traffic. 

Road users are asked to avoid the area if possible and to follow any police guidance.

First Bus has confirmed its 57 and 57A services have been affected by the road closures.

Residents in the area have been advised to remain indoors and keep their windows and doors closed.
