A FORMER Rangers player has submitted plans to open a pub beside Ibrox Stadium.
Scott Arfield has applied for permission to transform two vacant units into a new pub.
The buildings, on the corner of Copland Road and Mafekin Street, are just yards from Rangers' stadium.
An application submitted to Glasgow City Council states one of the units is a former Ladbrokes store.
The application form reveals the proposed pub would have no cooking facilities on site.
Arfield left Rangers at the end of the season after five years with the club.
We earlier told how the midfielder was spotted singing at his friend's wedding at the weekend.
Glasgow City Council is due to grant or refuse the plans by July 31.
