A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit and run that left a woman fighting for her life.
We previously reported that the woman was struck on Bell Street in Merchant City, near its junction with Parsonage Square, at around 11.50pm on Saturday (June 10).
Police previously revealed that the driver of the car allegedly failed to stop.

The 32-year-old woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she was said to be in critical condition.
Officers have now confirmed a 51-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
He has been released pending further enquiry.
An investigation is ongoing.
