Poundland bosses have revealed when they expect to reopen their Braehead store. 

We previously reported that signs had gone up at the Renfrew shopping centre indicating that the discount retailer was returning. 

Signs read: "Look who's back... did you miss us, Braehead?"

It was estimated that the store would open in the summer but a spokesperson has since revealed that they 'look forward' to opening in late July.

A spokesperson said: "As the signage on the stores says – we love Braehead

"We were sad to have to leave our previous store

"So we have worked hard to find another where we can bring more of what we know customers want.

"We look forward to opening towards the end of July."
