POLICE have issued an update after arrests were made following an alleged 'stabbing' in the city's East End.
We previously reported a man was found seriously injured on Walter Street in the Haghill area at around 1.35am on Tuesday, June 27.
A 56-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested in connection.

The 33-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident.
It is understood he had been stabbed.
Police confirmed the man and woman have since been released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a man seriously injured on Walter Street, Glasgow, around 1.35am on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
"Emergency services attended and the 33-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
"A 56-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested and have since been released pending further enquiries."
