POLLOK drivers face yet another headache as work begins on two major roads causing disruption for those behind the wheel.
The heaving Peat Road is to be reduced to one lane in each direction for "essential" works to the verge and central reservation on Thursday from 7.30am to 5pm.
Meanwhile, Braidcraft Road, which has undergone a significant amount of work in recent years, including the installation of controversial bus lanes, is to partly shut once more.
During the same time frame, the street will also be reduced to one lane in each direction as similar works are carried out.
Both streets are major arteries through the area as well as for those travelling to and from the popular Silverburn Shopping Centre meaning the works are sure to cause problems for those on the road.
Drivers have been warned to seek alternative routes where possible as delays are "expected".
The Glasgow City Council roads team said: "These works will take place on Thursday, July 13, between 7.30am hours and 5pm, weather permitting.
"Delays are to be expected and drivers are advised to use alternative routes where possible."
