ANGRY crowds gathered in the same Renfrewshire street where a man allegedly exposed himself at the weekend.
Police confirmed yesterday that a 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with exposure in Linwood on Sunday, July 9.
Concerns about the alleged offence led residents to stage a protest in the street last night.
Police attended the scene at Morar Drive where they engaged with the group that had gathered.
It was claimed on social media that some people in attendance “started throwing bricks”, but this has not been confirmed by officers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crowd gathered outside a property at Morar Drive in Linwood around 7.40pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
“Officers attended and engaged with the group.
“The group dispersed a short time later and no arrests were made.”
