A POPULAR Chinese restaurant in Paisley has announced it is closing.
Kwang Tung, in George Street, has been shut since Sunday, July 2, for a two-week holiday.
On Thursday afternoon, staff at the restaurant confirmed that only its takeaway and delivery service would reopen on Sunday, July 16.
In a Facebook post, a spokesperson said it had been a "tough decision" but the owners had their "health and wellbeing to consider first along with looking after and maintaining staffing."
They added: "It saddens me to say that we will close our restaurant for the time being.
"I do not know when we will open up the restaurant and if we do it'll be a reduced size with less tables and chairs.
"This in turn will reduce our workload and hopefully a happier environment to work in.
"Kwang Tung has been our lives but time has come for us to slow down."

One said: "So sad to hear this, but as long as it's the right decision for you, that's all that matters."
Another wrote: "Sorry to hear that. Fantastic restaurant and owners/staff."
A third added: "Your health is your wealth. Your restaurant will be missed."
