A dog owner has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after her pet allegedly attacked a woman in Paisley.
It is claimed the incident took place outside the Greggs store in Glasgow Road, Paisley, at around 10.15am on Saturday.
Police, who were unable to confirm the breed of the dog, said a 39-year-old woman was bitten in the back by the pooch.
It is understood she suffered bruising but did not require medical treatment.
Police said a 36-year-old woman was later charged under the Control of Dogs Act and the dog was seized by officers.
