HOLLYWOOD star Dan Aykroyd says he’s planning for a potential Ghostbusters movie set in Scotland.
The 71-year-old actor, who played Ray Stantz in the 1984 original, told Weekend mag that he had plans for a sequel in Scotland because there are “lots of ghosts and mythical creatures”.
It comes as the star has travelled across Scotland – including visits to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Skye and Glencoe.
If the movie idea goes ahead, it would be the fifth in the Ghostbusters franchise, not including the all-female reboot in 2016.
Speaking this weekend, Aykroyd said: “I have an idea for a sequel I would set here in the UK.
“There are lots of ghosts and mythical creatures in Scotland.”
Speaking of his visit to Scotland, he added: “I went to Skye, to the Glencoe valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow … I loved it.”
