A Bearsden bowling club say they are "proud" of their members after raising thousands of pounds for charity.
The Ladies Division of Westerton Bowling Club raised an incredible £2260 for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland at their recent charity day.
The event, which took place earlier this month, included a number of different activities such as using your ‘wrong hand’ when bowling, playing without a jack, handbag bingo, a raffle and afternoon tea with prosecco.

And the ladies were amazed to discover that they had surpassed their original target of £2000.
They were also delighted that Joe Nimmo of the Drumchapel United Walking football team presented them with £100 to add to their fundraising total.
Julie Hastings, President of the Ladies Division said “Everyone had a great time but most importantly we raised £2260 for Chest Heart Stroke Scotland.
"I feel it is a magnificent total and I'm very proud of the members and friends of Westerton Bowling Club.”
“We choose a charity that is personal to us and that's why I chose CHSS. My mum and husband both died of a stroke, my dad died of a heart attack and I had a TIA 20 years ago so you can see it's a very special charity to me.
“The most ironic thing is my 51-year-old son-in-law had both a cardiac arrest and heart attack very recently and was ‘clinically dead’ in hospital. Fortunately, he came through it and is now totally on the mend.
"The doctors are all amazed and told him normally people who go through what he has gone through are still at death's door.”
Louise Macleod, the Local Fundraiser said “We are so grateful to Julie and the members of Westerton Bowling Club Ladies Division for their fundraising efforts.
“The money raised is enough to provide 113 hours of bespoke care to ensure that no life is half lived for those living with chest, heart and stroke conditions in Scotland.”
Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is Scotland’s largest health charity, helping people living with the effects of chest and heart conditions, Long Covid, and stroke to live life to the full.
