A man who died after being found injured in Glasgow has been named as cops launch a murder probe.
Officers were called to Stravanan Road in the city's Castlemilk at around 4.30pm on Friday, July 28.
A 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and he has now been named as Ryan Willcox.
We previously reported that an 18-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the alleged incident, and the force has now revealed that the man has been charged.
He is due to appear in court on Monday, July 31.
Police will remain in the area and investigations into Ryan's death - which is being treated as murder - will continue.
Detective Inspector Stuart Gillies said: “Our thoughts are very much with Ryan’s family and friends at what is a very difficult time, and they are being provided with support by specialist officers.
“We believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.
“We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing at this time.
“I understand that this is an upsetting incident for the local community and I would urge anyone with concerns to speak to one of our officers.”
