PLANS for a pub beside Ibrox Stadium have been refused by Glasgow City Council.
We previously reported former Rangers player Scott Arfield had applied for permission to transform two vacant units on the corner of Copland Road and Mafekin Street into a pub.
The application said the proposed pub would not have cooking facilities on site.

However, the council has refused the plans on the basis they are not "in accordance with the Development Plan".
The planning decision notice said: "The proposal was not considered to be in accordance with the Development Plan and there were no material considerations which outweighed the proposal's variance with the Development Plan."
The decision notice also highlighted the proposed pub's impact on "residential amenity" and its proximity to residential flats as reasons for the refusal.
Arfield left Rangers at the end of the season after five years with the club.
