A Glasgow restaurant has suddenly shut down to “focus on family”.
Dirty Fries Guys has announced they will be closing down on Wednesday, August 6.
The popular restaurant in Port Dundas, North Glasgow, couldn’t find new staff to sustain the business.
It comes as members of the current team are expecting a baby and have young families and could no longer give the same time to the company.
We previously reported on the restaurant when they first opened their doors in March, just five months ago.
They had focused on serving homemade food for takeaway and delivery, and now are urging punters to try their dishes before it is too late.
The restaurant is located at 465 Pinkston Road and sells breakfast, burgers, loaded fries, wings and wraps and more.
Dirty Fries Guys posted on Facebook saying: “So…unfortunately as of Wednesday we will be closing down.
“We can't find someone suitable to join the team and with a baby on the way in two months and a one-year-old to think of we have come to the decision that timing just isn't right for this wee venture.
“Babies aren't babies forever and we need this time right now to focus on our families.
“So, if you want to try some top-notch scran you better get down before Wednesday while stock lasts.”
Customers were quick to respond in the comments with their own thoughts.
Lorraine Ann McClelland said: “Very hard decision.
“You girls will not regret it, lots of family fun time to enjoy before it flys by yous x”
Caitlin Scullion said: “This is the place I wanted to try.”
David McSalley said: “This has pure ruined my day”
Stacie Shaw said: “Oh no gutted.”
Jill Henshaw said: “Congratulations Phoebe, you’re right they won’t stay small for long and I’m sure you’ll be serving up top scran again when they’re bigger.”
