The Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow is closed due to an ongoing police incident.
Drivers have been advised to seek an alternative route. They were also warned that delays are expected.
The major road connects the city's Southside and West via the tunnel which runs under the River Clyde.
A picture on social media showed a police van blocking entrance to the tunnel.
The Glasgow Times understands that emergency services are dealing with concerns for a person.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council's roads department said: "Due to an ongoing police incident, the Clyde Tunnel is currently closed in both directions.
"Road users are advised to seek an alternative route, delays should be expected."
