A Rutherglen golf day is hoping to improve the lives of vulnerable people across the country.
The event will be held on Friday, September 15 to help raise vital funds for one of Scotland’s leading health and social care charities, Quarriers.
The foundation provides practical care and support for vulnerable children, adults, and families who face poverty and inequality.
Now the charity is being boosted at Cathkin Braes Golf Club which will kick off with breakfast and a driving range token to help limber up your swing before taking to the course.
A regular supporter of the golf day is Alastair Ferguson of NCS Ltd, he added: “I have been involved with Quarriers on a personal and professional basis now for the best part of 20 years.
“From the first Quarriers golf event I attended way back in 2009 when it was held at Dalmahoy Golf Club, to the present day, I have been inflicting the many teams that I have entered with my agonisingly poor golf skills.
“It’s a day I would never miss for the world.”
The 6200-yard premier is only five miles from Glasgow city centre and is widely regarded as one of the best inland courses in the west of Scotland.
Afterwards you can enjoy a two-course lunch in the clubhouse and have the chance to win fantastic prizes on the day.
The money raised will go towards supporting people so they can have more independence and inclusion in their communities.
It also hopes to allow those who are struggling to become active citizens in charge of their own health and wellbeing.
The charity currently operates over 100 services throughout Scotland, priding themselves on their person-centred approach.
This means that the support offered is tailored to each individual, putting their needs first.
The cost is £400 per team entered.
