THREE people have appeared in court following a disturbance in Hamilton. 

At around 3.25pm on Tuesday, August 15, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Quarry Street. 

Two men, aged 40 and 46, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and a 58-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The 40 and 46-year-old men were discharged from hospital and arrested and charged in connection with the incident. 

A 32-year-old woman has also been arrested and charged in connection. 

All three were due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 16. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.25pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Quarry Street in Hamilton.

"Two men, aged 40 and 46, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and a 58-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

"The 46-year-old man and 40-year-old man were discharged from hospital and arrested and charged.

"A 32-year-old woman has also been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"All three are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 16 August 2023."
