A POPULAR American chicken chain has officially confirmed the opening date of its new Barrhead store.
Popeyes has announced it will be opening its new drive-thru restaurant at the town's retail park on Monday, September 18, according to signs on the stores window.
The eatery will bring flavours of Louisiana to Scotland, with its signature 12-hour marinated chicken and original Southern biscuits and gravy.
They will also be serving brand-new breakfast items.
The new store will include a dining area for 56 people, with 16 seats outside.
