A FAMED Clydebank chippy is in the running to defend its title as "Best Takeaway Restaurant" after being nominated for the gong once again.
Much-loved McMonagles have been named in the final eight for the Restaurant Takeaway of the Year 2023 at the upcoming Scottish Takeaway Awards.
Last year, the well-known eatery - which is located on a boat called the Debra Rose - took home the prestigious award for the first time, much to the delight of co-founder Agnes McMonagle.
She told the Glasgow Times at the time: “It was very, very nice to be recognised because we’ve been in Clydebank for nearly 30 years."
The awards will take place on October 23, 2023, at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel.
Organisers of the awards have told the Post they will release a QR code in the next 24 hours which will allow people to vote for their favourite establishment.
