A FORMER Drumchapel community centre is to be demolished this week following a devastating fire.
We previously reported that firefighters worked into the early hours of Sunday morning to extinguish the blaze at the Stonedyke Neighbourhood Community Centre.
Now, City Property Glasgow (CPG), who own the Belsyde Avenue building, has confirmed work will begin later this week to flatten the site.
A CPG (Investments) spokesperson said: “The property was significantly damaged by fire and we are now preparing to demolish.
"Works should commence on site later this week.”
