A CITY centre Wetherspoons is set to reopen following an extensive £1.4million expansion, redevelopment and refurbishment.
The Sir John Moore pub, located on Argyle Street near Central Station, will reopen on Friday, October 6.
We previously reported the bar was closing from Monday, August 7 to allow the works to take place.
The company has developed two former shop units to create a larger customer area, as well as upgrading the bar and installing new toilets.
As a result of the expansion, a total of 50 new jobs have been created.
Ross Henderson, pub manager, said: "The Sir John Moore is an extremely popular pub and this investment highlights Wetherspoon’s commitment to offering our customers the best possible pub.
"Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The Sir John Moore, and we are confident that they will be impressed by the refurbished and larger new-look pub."
