A WOMAN has appeared in custody accused of attempting to murder a man who has since died.
Amanda Welsh, 47, allegedly assaulted Joseph McGready at a flat in Braid Square near Glasgow city centre on September 29, 2023.
Court papers state that Welsh acted with another when she repeatedly struck Mr McGready, 30, on the head and body with a knife.
The charge says this was done to Mr McGready's severe injury, permanent disfigurement, impairment and to the danger of his life as well as attempted murder.
We previously reported that Mr McGready died this morning (Monday) at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Welsh made no plea today at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
She was represented by her lawyer Stephen Bentley.
Welsh, of the city's Govan, was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
She will appear at court again within the next eight days.
