Janey Godley has been praised for taking down an internet troll who challenged her sex life.
The quick witted 62-year-old Glasgow comedian put a bully in their place after he targeted her on social media.
The person attempted to mock Janey, who is battling ovarian cancer, by pointing out one symptom of her illness is “pain during intercorse”.
They shared a picture of a cancer awareness poster and highlighting the symptom cruelly said “am pretty certain that`s ONE symptom she won`t need to worry about.”
Janey was quick to respond and assured the troll she was “getting banged harder than a faulty washing machine door” leaving her fans in stitches.
She posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “Despite having cancer, I am still getting banged harder than a faulty washing machine door, but thanks for worrying about my F**** in a post to raise awareness about ovarian cancer - share the whole image it may save a life.”
Followers flooded Janey with support and reminded her to continue to rise above the online haters.
One said: “Janey, you are amazing!! Love the way you deal with these oxygen thieves!!”
A second said: “Gawd sake Janey, I truly don't know how you deal with the constant onslaught on here.”
A third said: “Rather than being a nasty troll, [he] should be sharing the image with every women he knows, however few that is.
“It’s an issue close to my heart and makes me mad that people like [him] would rather make nasty comments than do something that might just save a life.”
A fourth said: “You are fantastic. I wanted to tell you in case no one else has.
“Keep fighting the good fight.”
We previously reported how Janey has been targeted with “lying accusations” since battling ovarian cancer which she was diagnosed with in November 2021.
She has repeatedly defended herself on her social media platforms and is now speaking out to remind others how to deal with online abuse.
