A man has been arrested in Glasgow after reports of "concern for a woman" near the River Clyde.
The emergency services were called to the scene under Glasgow Bridge near Jamaica Street around 7:40am this morning (Tuesday, October 10)
A number of police vans were in attendance as they investigated the scene just beside the crossing to the Southside .
The force have now confirmed that a 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40am on Tuesday, 10 October, 2023, officers responded to a report of concern for a woman in Jamaica Street, under Glasgow Bridge.
“A 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.”
