A MAN is due to appear in court following a "significant firearms recovery" in North Glasgow.
It comes after officers from Police Scotland's Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (OCCTU) executed a warrant at a property in Benview Street, in the Maryhill area, at around 12.55pm on Friday, October 20.
The search uncovered firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the find.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, October 23.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven Elliot from OCCTU said: "This was a significant recovery and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
"We would continue to urge anyone with information or concerns about firearms activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
