A MAN has been rushed to hospital after he was seriously assaulted near Alexandria train station.
The 38-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment following the attack yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The incident took place in the Main Street area near Bank Street, around 4.30pm.
And police are hoping the local public may have seen something that can help them with their investigation.
Detective Constable Jade Sutherland said: “Extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation to contact officers.”
