A MAN headbutted someone on a busy street in Glasgow after an argument.
Scott Stirrat, 22, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday after previously admitting to assaulting Joe Duffy on January 5, 2023.
Shortly before 3am, CCTV was being viewed on Sauchiehall Street.
Stirrat, of Beith, could be seen sitting on a bench. Mr Duffy approached him, and an argument took place.
The court heard that Stirrat could be seen standing up and headbutting Mr Duffy.
Cops attended immediately and approached Stirrat, who was on bail at the time.
He made no reply when cautioned and charged.
Sheriff Jonathan Guy revealed that Stirrat is already on a number of community payback orders (CPO).
He added: “I am minded to defer sentence for eight weeks for him to be of good behaviour and for a CPO review.”
Sentence was deferred until December 20.
The sheriff added: “If in eight weeks’ time the CPO is not working or he’s not complying, the court will have to consider other options including a jail sentence.”
