A former worship venue in Airdrie could be converted into shops if a planning application is approved by North Lanarkshire Council.
Applicant Sharaz Javed has requested a change of use for Hebron Hall in the town centre’s North Bridge Street that would see it reclassified as retail space.
Information about the application has been sent to various neighbouring properties, which include High Parish Church and the local branch of Aldi.
The application involves remodelling the interior of the building so that approximately two thirds of the floor space would be repurposed for retail, with another room used for storage. The plans also include a small office. No major alterations to the building exterior are described.
For further information on the application, or to leave a comment, visit North Lanarkshire Council’s website and search for planning reference 23/01036/FUL.
