A man was attacked by two thugs in Glasgow for playing a kazoo.
Witnesses watched in horror after a 20-year-old male was confronted by a pair of youths for playing the musical instrument on Sunday morning.
They threatened and verbally abused the victim demanding he stop making the buzzing sounds before then lunging at him at around 4.10am on Argyle Street.
A witness told the Glasgow Times: “It was horrific to see, two people stopped him and told him if he didn’t stop playing the kazoo they would attack him.
“One of them then punched him repeatedly in the face with the other also hitting him when he was on the ground.
“They ran away like cowards while crowds gathered and saw the bloody mess left behind.”
A second witness said: “I believe the victim went to hospital, everyone was hoping he was okay because it looked really bad.
“It was a completely unnecessary attack, I think they were just out looking for a fight.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10am on Sunday, 29 October 2023, a report was made to police of an assault on Argyle Street near to Union Street, Glasgow.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
