Pupils and staff from an Alexandria primary school said a fond farewell to a much-loved and respected Principal Teacher who retired after 41 years.
Elizabeth Campbell has been educating the area's kids for over four decades and bowed out at Christie Park Primary School on Middleton Street.
Mrs Campbell started her teaching career at Dalreoch Primary in 1982 before moving to Christie Park in 1996.
And current head teacher Miss McLeod admitted her Mrs Campbell's departure will leave a big hole at the school.
She said: "Mrs Campbell has been a wonderful colleague and it was clear today just how much she’ll be missed.
"Over the last 27 years, Mrs Campbell has made a huge contribution to the school and community and has made a difference to the lives of many children.
"I would like to thank Elizabeth for her commitment to the school and she will be greatly missed by us all.
"We wish her good health for a long and happy retirement.”
Youngster's families joined in a special assembly on Friday to mark her retirement and her achievement of having taught Alexandria children for 27 years.
