Traffic near Glasgow Airport has been disrupted due to a vehicle on fire.
The M8 is closed westbound at junction 28a St James interchange following the incident.
According to Traffic Scotland, the closure has been in place in the area since 3.40am.
A signed diversion is currently in operation.

Vehicles coming off at J28a westbound should continue along the A737 to the Linwood off slip and turn back up the A737.
Westbound traffic will then rejoin the M8.
Glasgow Airport traffic should take the A726 and continue along Barnsford Road.
Bus firm Stagecoach is also experiencing delays to the X36 due to the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised that the M8 westbound is closed between junctions 28A and 29, due to investigation and recovery work following a vehicle fire.
"There is a diversion in place onto the A737 westbound. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."
