Police have arrested and charged a second man following the death of a Renfrew resident.
As we reported at the time, a 52-year-old man died shortly after being found seriously injured in the common close of flats on Renfield Street around 3am on Monday, October 30.
He was later named by the force as Alastair Campbell.
Officers have confirmed that a murder investigation is underway as they arrested and charged a 47-year-old man in connection with the incident.
He appeared at the same court on Friday, November 3.

Now, it has been revealed that a second man, 73, has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Previously, a 35-year-old man was arrested and released following the incident.
