A PRISONER has died at HMP Low Moss in Bishopbriggs.
It was announced by the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) that Ross Walker passed away earlier this month on Friday, November 3.
The 44-year-old was remanded at Falkirk Sheriff Court this year.
Police Scotland has been advised about the death. Meanwhile, the death has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held at a later date. This is a mandatory inquiry if the death occurred while the deceased was in lawful custody.
A SPS statement read: "Ross Walker, 44, a prisoner at HMP Low Moss has died on November 3, 2023. He was remanded at Falkirk Sheriff Court in 2023.
"Police Scotland has been advised and the matter reported to the procurator fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
