A BARRHEAD chippy has scooped a major award at this year's Scottish Fish and Chip Awards.
It comes after Alpino's Fish and Chips on Cross Arthurlie Street won Best Family Business at the ceremony.
On top of that, they also were highly recommended in the Best Dine in Restaurant category.
Meanwhile, CATCH Fish and Chips in Giffnock were crowned Best Chippy West at the awards event.
We previously reported several fish and chips shops across the area were shortlisted for awards, including Kadir's Fish and Chips in the Best Chippy West category and L'arco Takeaway in the Best Delivery Service and Best Family Business category.
