A YOUNG man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an attack in Merchant City last night.
Shortly before 7pm last night, 999 crews rushed to High Street after reports of a serious assault.
A man, aged 22, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Cops say his injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.
Pictures from the scene show two ambulance vehicles and a police vehicle. An eyewitness said they saw paramedics run into a nearby premise.
An investigation was launched and enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.50pm on Monday, November 20, 2023, we received a report of a serious assault which happened at High Street, Glasgow.
“A 22-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
