One of the most iconic images of the late Diana, Princess of Wales is when she was captured wearing a turquoise swimming costume, whilst sitting on the edge of a diving board on the Jonikal, the boat owned by Mohamed Al-Fayed.
The image was taken shortly before her death in August 1997 when she was on holiday with Mr Al Fayed's son, Dodi Fayed.
In the first installment of The Crown series six, fans of the royals get to see what might have happened “behind closed doors” as Diana was invited by former Harrod’s owner Mr Al Fayed to holiday in Saint-Tropez with Prince William and Harry in July 1997.
“Most of what the public knows of Diana’s vacations with the Fayeds that summer in 1997 is limited to blurry paparazzi shots from afar,” reports Elle.
