RESIDENTS are being invited along to attend Bishopton's Christmas tree light switch-on event next week.
The event will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, November 29, at the Bishopton Community Centre.
Before the light switch-on, attendees can listen to the community carol singing in the centre, which starts at 6.30pm.
However, the community centre car park will be closed during the event and drivers are being recommended to leave their cars at home.
Lynne Hutchison, chair of Bishopton Community Centre Association said: “Bishopton Community Centre Association is delighted once again to be involved in helping to organise this year’s Christmas tree light switch-on ceremony at Bishopton Community Centre.
"Before the lights are switched on there will be a carol singing held inside the Community Centre.
"The lights will be switched on by local noteworthy persons. I am anticipating that we will have a special seasonal guest making an appearance too.”
“It is a free event. Light refreshments will be available.”
“We are grateful to Renfrewshire Council for their support.”
