SCOTLAND is to experience widespread snow this month as the Met Office forecasts temperatures as low as -1 C.
With these freezing conditions, which will affect other parts of the UK, a trusted weather tool has predicted that snow will fall across western, southern and parts of eastern Scotland.
Areas like Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway, West Dunbartonshire and the Scottish Borders are set to face snowfall of between 1cm and 2cm per hour.
The first of this snow is set to land on Thursday, November 30 (St Andrews Day) in the early hours at around 6 am.

This snow will continue on Friday (December 1) and spread further north to the Cairngorms.
Snow will continue to a lesser degree on Saturday, December 2 with low levels set for the south and east of Glasgow as well as in the northeast of Scotland, according to WXCharts.
Met Office predicts 'widely cold' conditions for Scotland and northern Britain
Speaking of the freezing temperatures, the Met Office stated in its long-range forecast that the country can expect "widely colder, drier and brighter weather" with the return of "overnight frosts" likely.
In northern areas of Britain, the meteorological organisation states that cold conditions could "persist" with an "increasing chance" of "cloud, rain and/or snow."
This forecast covers a period ranging from Tuesday, November 28 to Thursday, December 7.
