A VAN worth £40,000 has been "damaged beyond repair" after it was stolen and set on fire.
At around 3.10pm on Monday, November 27, cops were made aware of the theft of a van on Dumgoyne Avenue in Milngavie.
A short time later at 3.30pm the dark blue Ford Transit van, with registration LC21 OWR, was found on fire near to The Loan.
Around £6000 worth of items were also stolen from the van.

Officers say a white Ford Transit van was involved in the incident and they are appealing for anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
Detective Constable Ciara Nicoll said: "We are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch, from initial investigation we are aware of a second van involved in the incident, namely a white coloured Ford Transit.
"In addition, anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage that would help with our investigation is asked to call us."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2015 of November 27.
