A MAN was due to appear in court in connection with an alleged 'rape' in the city centre as cops appeal for witnesses.
We previously reported Mitchell Street was taped off on Sunday evening following a report of the serious sexual assault of a woman between 5.20am and 6.10am on Sunday, November 26.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 28.

An investigation is ongoing and police are now appealing for anyone who was in the Mitchell Street area at the time to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Gillian Nixon said: "Our enquiries are continuing and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
"If you have information that could help with our investigation then please contact us via 101, quoting incident number 0820 of Sunday, November 26, 2023, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
