A derelict old Dumbarton bingo hall has allegedly been found as the scene of a 'large-scale' cannabis farm inside its walls following a drug bust.
Police officers forced entry to the old Rialto bingo hall on College Street on Tuesday, November 28 following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Four men, aged 45, 43, 42 and 34, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and were set to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court the following day.
DI Gerry Shovlin said: “We would like to thank the public for their continued support and for providing information leading to these arrests.
"I would urge anyone with information related to any form of criminality to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
Such was the size of the haul, Dumbarton officers remain at the scene and it is understood the undertaking to dismantle the cultivation will take some time.
