A MAN who died after being found "unresponsive" in Renfrew has been named as police confirm a man has been charged in connection his death.
We previously reported emergency services were called to Newmains Road at around 2.30am on Sunday, November 5 after receiving a report of an unresponsive man.
The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital where he died a short time later.
Officers have now named the man as Andrew Lees. He had previously been named locally.
In a statement released via police, Mr Lees family said he will be "sorely missed".
They said: "Andrew was a much loved son who will be sorely missed every day by all who knew him."
Cops confirmed a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Lees death.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, December 4.
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie, of Paisley CID, said: "Our thoughts are very much with Andrew’s family and we are providing them with support at what is a very difficult time for them.
"They have asked for their privacy to be respected."
