UPDATE: Glasgow Airport has announced the runway is fully operational again
GLASGOW Airport has suspended all flights due to "heavier than forecast" snow.
Airport bosses announced on social media that all arrivals and departures have been suspended and urged travellers to check with their airline for updates.
In a post shared on X, formally known as Twitter, they wrote: "Flight operations are currently suspended due to heavier than forecast snow.
"Our winter teams have been working through the night and we hope to resume operations as soon as possible.
"Please check with your airline for further flight updates."
The city experienced heavy snow fall overnight as temperatures plummeted across the country.
