A MAN has been rushed to hospital following an assault early this morning.
Cops were called to Saucel Crescent in Paisley at around 6.15am following a report of an assault.
It is understood the incident took place near Mecca Bingo.
A 20-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
His condition is not known.
An investigation into the attack is underway and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable John Sharkey, Paisley CID, said: "We were called to a report of an assault on Saucel Crescent, Paisley around 6.15am on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
"Officers attended and a 20-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0702 of 2 December."
